Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday!!!

My son Dylan just turned one on October 3, just a day after my birthday. We celebrated his birthday all week. Here are photos from his birthday party yesterday. I’ve always enjoyed entertaining and planning parties! I love coming up with ideas to make it all look pretty. We had such a great time with our family! The party location was at his grandparents home. This is the usual place we use for most of our family parties. I am sharing details on the items I used to decorate his party and where I purchased these items.

Birthday outfit: Nordstrom Rack (the entire outfit and shoes are available in stores now) Outfit Brand: 7 for all mankind (this 2 piece outfit was just under $30) Shoes: Converse

I put this entire set up together in less than 3 hours! Procrastination much? Yes, I work best when it is last minute. I just plan ahead with a vision in mind and purchase the items as I go.

Bakery: Safeway (cupcakes 2 dozen for $10, 2 tier cake with design (under $40), and included a free smash cake ($10 value). The cakes were delicious! // Poster Board and banner supplies: Michael’s // Big globe: Family gift // Smaller globes and airplane displays: Hobby Lobby// Blue vintage suitcase set: Amazon // Table covers: Amazon//

Photo prints: Costco Photo// Banner Supplies: Michael’s Stores

Airplane Red & Blue cupcake picks with spoon: Amazon// Cupcake 3 tier holder: Party City Stores// Banner Supplies: Michael’s Stores

This suitcase was a gift for my son, it is available at Hobby Lobby// Favor boxes: Amazon (I filled the boxes with starbursts, mini skittles pack, kit lat, snickers, and an Airplane whistle (dollar tree)

Daddy had to hold onto him because he was going straight for that cake! haha Unfortunately, he did not care for his smash cake very much later on in the day.

Dylan’s grandma made this banner for him for his highchair. It turned out so good! She is also very creative.

Dylan had cake for the first time and I made sure it was chocolate 😛

Dylan was very sleepy at this point and needed his long afternoon nap. He was not interested in smashing his birthday cake at all.

So, daddy and I helped him out a little… hehe

He didn’t enjoy the cake smashing, but we did :D.

Dylan is so loved! We are so thankful for everyone’s presence at his party and all the presents he received. And just like that… my baby is a year old!
